about me

My name is Carol Welker and I have been on the creative side of marketing for more than 10 years. I earned my Bachelors degree in Graphic Design from Oklahoma State University and my Masters degree in Emerging Media and Communications from the University of Texas at Dallas. I will have completed a Masters degree in Fine Arts in Arts and Technology in May 2012, and a Masters of Science degree in Marketing in December 2012.

In addition to all things marketing, I enjoy the arts, sports, learning, intelligent conversation, photography, a great mystery, making documentaries, writing music, designing sound for film, and playing piano and guitar. I just started writing the script for a full feature animated movie, so look for it in theaters near you, in about five years...(wink, wink).

My strengths include: being me, making complicated things simple, trying to see the world through clear-colored glasses, and trying to understand people even when I don't.

My profile would not be complete without listing my weaknesses as well, so here they are: reading really long emails, trying to figure out my TV remote control, customer service without a smile, and crazy politicians. I'm sure there are many, many, more but I don't want to bore you. (Besides, it might mess up my cadence.)

Secret career aspirations: motivational speaker, FBI profiler, political pundit, and of course, rock star.
